Bridging the Gap

You have done deep work over the past five weeks. You have reflected, explored, drafted, and refined. You now have a clearer sense of your purpose and mission than most people ever achieve. That is worth celebrating.

But clarity alone does not change your life. Action does.

This week is about bridging the gap between knowing and doing.

A Hole in the Sidewalk

Do you ever feel like the same stuff comes up for you again and again? The poem "Autobiography in Five Chapters" by Portia Nelson describes five stages of transforming our patterns:

Consider where in your life this poem might map onto your experience. Is there anywhere you have made it to the fifth "chapter?" Is there anywhere in your life where the fifth chapter would be supported by or inspire your mission?

Light and Dark

Challenging thoughts and feelings might come up for you in this process. With that said, please consider the following statement:

Every shadow contains a gift.

Choose an area of your life where you experience shadow. Be with it for a moment. Now, ask yourself: How do I hold or contain the dark coming up for me? If there is a lightness associated with the darkness, what gifts are being offered?

Gold Mining is about you coming into a greater awareness of your brilliance and your genius and how it can serve the world.
